Private Aviation Security

The aircraft is the boardroom at 41,000 feet.

Technical security assessments for private, corporate and charter aircraft, and the FBO environments executives pass through before and after the flight.

Private Aviation Security

Executives keep working in the air.

Executives and high-profile individuals hold sensitive conversations while they travel. A private cabin feels secure because it is private. But aircraft are shared across flights, crews and maintenance cycles, and chartered aircraft are used by many clients.

ICUnit provides technical security assessments of aircraft cabins and related ground environments before important flights and meetings. Every engagement is coordinated with the aircraft operator, the FBO and, where relevant, the maintenance provider, under their procedures and access requirements.

Chartered aircraft before a sensitive trip.

The customer journey

From first call to controlled handover.

A clear, repeatable sequence that fits around the flight schedule, the operator’s procedures and your principal’s privacy.

  1. 01

    Confidential consultation

We learn about the principals, the aircraft, the route and the conversations that will take place on board or on the ground.

  2. 02

    Aircraft & environment scope

Scope, access and timing are agreed with the aircraft owner or operator and the FBO, under their procedures and requirements.

  3. 03

    Technical security assessment

A technical and physical assessment of the cabin and agreed ground spaces, carried out as close to departure as the schedule allows.

  4. 04

    Documentation

A confidential record of what was assessed, when, and what was observed, for the principal’s office or security lead.

  5. 05

    Controlled handover

The aircraft is handed over as a controlled space under the client’s established security procedures until boarding.

  6. 06

    Ongoing preventative program

For frequent flyers and flight departments, assessments aligned to the flight schedule and key trips.

A controlled-space process

Sweep. Verify. Seal.

A disciplined, documented sequence for the moments that matter most: the flight before a closing, the boardroom before a vote, the suite before a negotiation.

  1. 01

    Sweep.

A technical and physical inspection of the aircraft before a high-value meeting or flight, coordinated with the people responsible for it.

  2. 02

    Verify.

Observations are reviewed and documented, and anything that needs further attention is raised before the space is used.

  3. 03

    Seal.

Once the inspection is complete, the aircraft can be treated as a controlled space under the client’s established security procedures until it is used.

“Seal” describes a process, not a guarantee. The integrity of a controlled space depends on the access controls and procedures the client maintains after handover, and we advise on those as part of the engagement.

On the ground

Executive travel is more than the aircraft.

FBO lounges, private meeting rooms, executive waiting areas and temporary offices are shared spaces. We assess the ones your principals will use.

FAQ

Questions clients ask

Answers from a Licensed PI and TSCM-Certified specialist.

Do you need access to the aircraft?
Yes, and access is always arranged through the aircraft owner or operator and the FBO. ICUnit works under their procedures, security requirements and supervision. We don’t operate independently on the ramp.
Do you perform maintenance or open aircraft panels?
No. Our work is a technical security assessment of the cabin and accessible environments. Anything involving the aircraft’s systems or structure is referred to the operator and its maintenance provider.
Can you work with charter aircraft?
Yes, with the charter operator’s authorization. Charter assessments are usually scheduled shortly before departure.
Where do you provide aviation services?
ICUnit is based in Ontario and supports aviation engagements at airports across the province, with engagements elsewhere in Canada by arrangement.
